John Gilbert Nolte 1934-2013

HUDSON — John Gilbert Nolte, 78, died  March 26, 2013 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson. He was born Oct. 21, 1934 at Stafford County, the son of John Louis and Elizabeth (Ukens) Nolte.
He married Carolee Thompson Sept. 8, 1957 at Great Bend.  He was a farmer and was a South Seward and Byron Township maintainer operator. Mr. Nolte was a lifetime Stafford County resident. He served in the National Guard and was a member of Peace Community Church.
He is survived by his wife Carolee Nolte of the home; two daughters, Debra Orebaugh and her husband Mel of Wichita and Kathryn Smith of Great Bend; two brothers, Roy Nolte and his wife Barb of Hoisington, and James Nolte of Great Bend; one sister, Imogene Christiansen of Great Bend; three grandchildren, Brandon Orebaugh of Wichita, Joshua Orebaugh of Wichita, and Annika Smith of Great Bend; and six nieces and four nephews.
Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Peace Community Church in Hudson with Pastor Wade Russell officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Peace Church Cemetery, Hudson. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials can be made to Hospice House of Reno County in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
