MANHATTAN — John R. Graham, 68, died peacefully with family by his side on Dec. 20 in Manhattan. A native Kansan, John was born in Liberal, on Aug. 14, 1945, to John Alfred and Doris Fay (Bozarth) Graham.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Mary Lee; two sons, Jeff and his wife Kristen of Raymore, Mo., and Nick and his wife Amy of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren, John Myles Graham and Elizabeth Ann Graham; his identical twin brother James J. Graham and his wife Celinda of Wichita; and his sister Marsha Ann Protinsky and her husband Howard “Bud” of Hardy, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2900 Kimball Ave. in Manhattan, with Father Keith Weber as celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan. Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m., with a vigil at 7 p.m., on Thursday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Memorials are suggested to St. Isidore’s Catholic Student Center, The Greater Manhattan Community Foundation Founders Trust or The Good Shepherd Hospice House, in care of the funeral home.
