OLMITZ — John William Haynie II, 38, died  Sept. 11 at his residence in Olmitz. Born Dec. 3, 1973, in Stuttgart, Germany, he was the son of Glyn and Paula (Woodward) Haynie. On April 12, 1997 he married Stacy Owens in Fort Leavenworth. A resident of the Hoisington area since 2004, coming from Leavenworth, he was a finance manager for Marmie Chrysler in Great Bend. He liked camping, boating, fishing and the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his great group of friends.
Survivors include Stacy Owens of Hoisington; one son, Jacob Haynie of Hoisington; two daughters, Megan Haynie and Emma Haynie, both of Hoisington; father, Glyn Haynie of Cedar Park, Texas; mother, Paula Woodward of New Hampshire; one sister, Brooke Keeling and husband John of Junction City; three brothers, David Haynie and wife Tarie of North Carolina, and Nathan Haynie and Bryan Haynie, both of Oregon; and a brother-in-law, Jason Knowles and wife Heather of Leavenworth.
Friends are invited to join the family in celebrating John’s life from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Cheyenne Bottoms Inn in Hoisington. Memorials are suggested to the Children’s College Fund in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.nicholsonrickefh.net.
