Jonna Dee Naylor, 78, passed away May 25, 2024, at her home in Great Bend, Kansas. She was born on December 21, 1945, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to John and Winifred (Boyd) Lake.
A recent resident of Great Bend, Jonna previously lived in Oklahoma City, Lucas, and Lindsborg. She attended beauty school and went on to own a beauty salon before owning a liquor store in Lucas. Jonna was a member of the Methodist faith, and enjoyed watching sports, including the Kansas City Chiefs, Oklahoma University sports, and the St. Louis Cardinals, liked to garden, cook, lay out by the pool, and loved her animals, especially Pomeranians. She was an avid QVC shopper, and enjoyed much time spent with her companion on over 30 years, Donald “Don” Oriez, gaming at casinos.
Survivors include son, Jeff White and wife Heather of Great Bend; three grandchildren, Dylan Frank and wife Destice of Great Bend, Wyatt Frank and wife Sierra of Ellinwood, and Bailey Jones of Wichita; and one great-grandchild, Calvin Frank.
She is preceded in death by her companion, Don Oriez; and her parents.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Lucas Community Church (a global, Methodist congregation), Lucas, Kansas, with Pastor Les Rye presiding. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorials have been designated to the Jonna Naylor Memorial Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
