Joyce Elsie Eliot, 74, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020. She was born in Owatonna, Minn., to Alvin and Alsie (Bartel) Grunz.

Joyce was mainly a homemaker until her children were grown, and then she worked at Tony’s Pizza and Russel Stover’s in Abilene. She liked cats and dogs, even having a few basset hound litters. Joyce was very artistic and creative. She enjoyed sewing, painting and wood carving. She used to do hand lettering at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City.

Survivors include her children, Stacey Lynn-Eliot Crowder (Jeffry), Greenville, N.C., and Brian Chandler Eliot, Salina; grandsons, Spencer, Evan, and Reed Crowder; brother, Ralph Grunz, Woodstock, Ga.; and sister-in-law, Elinor Grunz.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Donald Grunz.

Cremation was chosen and no services are planned at this time. Inurnment will be in Sunrise Cemetery, Manhattan.

Memorials may be made to the Salina Animal Shelter, in care of Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
