Joyce L. Boos, 74, died May 10, at Bixby Southtown Nursing Home, Bixby, Okla. Born Oct. 19, 1940 at Winfield, she was the daughter of John James Hutto and Opal (Spittler) White.
She married Thomas Lee Boos Nov. 27, 1965 at Great Bend. She was a bookkeeper for First American Title. Mrs. Boos was a Great Bend resident since 1965 coming from Stafford. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Altar Society, Golden Belt Community Concert Association, and a former member of the Daughters of Isabella, all of Great Bend.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Lee Boos, of the home; son Philip Boos of Great Bend; daughter Paula Boos of Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Gary White and his wife Loretta of Louisville, Ky., and Arden White and his wife Sherry of Oklahoma City, Okla. She was preceded in death by one infant son.
Altar Society Rosary will be at 4 p.m., Friday, May 15 at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, followed by a vigil with rosary at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 16 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellis with Father Richard Daise officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery, Ellis. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, May 15, at Bryant Funeral Home.
