ELLINWOOD — Judith Ann (Jones) Sateren, 74, passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kan. on Sept. 16, 2018. Born in Concordia, Kan. on April 29, 1944, to parents Vern and Mary Jones. She graduated from LaCrosse High School in 1962. She married Dean Sateren on Nov. 9, 1963 in McVille, N.D. Mrs. Sateren was a longtime Ellinwood resident formerly of LaCrosse. She enjoyed time with family and friends, quilting, and gardening.

Survivors include son, Rick (Debbie) Sateren, Henderson, Nev.; daughters, Kimberly Ward, Ellinwood, Kan. and Jodi Schriner, Salina, Kan.; brother, Tom Jones (Barb), Klamath Falls, Ore.; and sister, Sue (Glenn) Woods, Rush Center, Kan. Other survivors include grandchildren, Lindsey Ward, Ashley Ward, Haley (Joe) Broz, Ryley Ney, Chris (Julie) Schriner, Chandler Schriner, Mason Sateren, Dylan Sateren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Ellinwood, Kan. with Pastor Tom Reazin officiating. Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 20 from 1-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood, Kan. Memorials are suggested to the Twilight Stitchers, United Methodist Church, or the family for later designation in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
