LENEXA — Judith Lee Minson, died Dec. 13, 2025 at the Lakeview Village Care Center, Lenexa, Kan. as her soul passed up to heaven. She was born Sept. 13, 1944 in Kansas City, Mo. the daughter of John (Jack) William and Blanch (O’Mally) Hewett.

Judy graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1962, Kansas City, Kan. She then attended Emporia State University graduating in 1966.  On Nov. 25, 1966, Judy Hewett and Mike Minson were married at Grandview Christian Church Kansas City, Kan. After marriage and teaching school, she continued to the University of Missouri graduating with a Master of Arts in 1970.

The marriage was blessed with two children, Jeffrey Michael, Nov. 9, 1970 and Scott Matthew, Jan. 18, 1974. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Blanche Hewett and son, Scott Matthew Minson. She is survived by her husband, Mike; son, Jeffrey and grandchildren, Jack Irons Minson and Gabriel Scott Minson all of Eugene, Ore.; brother-in-law, Gary (and Joyce) Minson, Abilene, Kan.; sisters-in-law, Jay and Ann (Minson) Lindquist, Great Bend, Kan., Dean and D.J. (Minson) Baird, Hoisington, Kan.,; Gary and Sara (Minson) Dutton,  Salina, Kan.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., funeral services starting at 11 a.m., followed by a reception and luncheon, Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 920 S Alta Ln, Olathe, KS 66061, with Rev. David Kahle presiding. Memorials may be made to the Lakeview Village Care Center, 9100 Park St, Lenexa, KS 66215 or Redeemer Lutheran Church, 920 S Alta Ln, Olathe, KS 66215 in care of Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS.
