Burleson — Julie Ann Leeper, 78, of Burleson, passed away Dec. 10, 2021. Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, First Baptist Church of Burleson. Visitation: 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, Mountain Valley Funeral Home.
Julie was born Dec. 14, 1942, in Omaha, Neb., to John and Jane (Shaw) Zimmerman. She was preceded in death by her parents; and twin sister Judy Ermey.
Julie married James Leeper, whom she met at church, June 9, 1968, in El Dorado, Kan. She attended Wichita High School and went on to Wichita State. Julie was a string instrument teacher, and an accomplished violinist, she was a church choir member, and loved to travel.
Survivors: son, David Leeper and wife Elizabeth; grandson, Jonathan and wife Kaitlyn; granddaughter Megan; brother John, and wife Jolene; other extended family and loving friends.
