LARNED — Karlene K. Meckfessel, 68, passed away April 1, 2014 at her home.She was born July 8, 1945 in Great Bend, the daughter of George P. Jr. and Helen D. Dipman Seeman. A lifetime area resident, she was retired from being the postmaster in Garfield.She was of the Christian faith. She was a Fort Hays State University Alumni Association member, volunteered at the Larned Welcome Inn, and was most recently employed at the Pawnee County Learning Center.Survivors include a son, Ryan and fiancé Janessa Akin, Garfield; a daughter, Karisa Stuchlik and husband Zach, Hooker, Okla.; two grandchildren, Eli and Erin Mae Stuchlik; and two brothers, George Seeman III and wife Connie and Winston Seeman and wife Susie, all of Larned.She was preceded in death by her parents.Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Bethann Black presiding.
