WASHINGTON, MO. — Karolyn Kaye Coleman, 72, of Washington, Mo., formerly of Ellis, passed away in the loving arms of God, on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at Cedarcrest Manor Nursing Home in Washington, Mo. Born on Aug. 16, 1939, in Emmeram, she was the daughter of Delbert and Beulah (Springfield) Witt. On July 25, 1955 she married Arthur Paul Coleman, in Great Bend. She was a homemaker and a health care provider.
Mrs. Coleman was a member St. Mary’s Church, of Ellis and the Ladies Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Paul, of Lake St Louis, Mo.; her son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Lynn, of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Renea Coleman, of Gillette, Wyo.; three sisters, Sherry Baker, of Rapid City, S.D., Kathy Magadan, of Great Bend, and Jeanne Swindler, of Pratt; one brother, Rocky Witt, Elko, Nev.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jim Coleman, in 1994 and John Coleman, in 2011.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellis. Burial followed at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ellis. Memorials are suggested to the Ladies VFW Auxiliary in Ellis.
