CHASE — Katharine Kay Brady, 70, died May 9, 2015, at Sterling Presbyterian Manor. She was born Dec. 27, 1944, at Lyons, the daughter of Willis and Frances Haas White. She graduated from Chase High School in 1962. She was married to Melvin Brady. He preceded her in death. A longtime Chase resident, she was a homemaker and CNA at the Ellinwood Hospital.
Mrs. Brady attended the First Baptist Church, Chase.
Survivors include two sons, Mark Brady, Chase, and David Brady, Pratt; sister, Karen Almanza, Hutchinson; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Larry and Charles White; and infant son Michael Brady.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Birzer Funeral Home in Lyons, with the Rev. Johnnie Hardie officiating. Burial will be at Chase Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with family present from 5-7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in care of the funeral home.
