RUSSELL — Katherine Jean Bean Thacker, 44, passed away April 17, 2017 at her residence in Russell, after a year long battle with cancer. Born May 26, 1972, in Russell, she was the daughter of Ray and Ann Bean. She was a lifetime resident of Russell.
Survivors include a son Bryce Casper of Russell; a daughter Megan Thacker of Russell; a granddaughter of Russell; mother and stepfather Ann and Bill Kirkpatrick, of Stafford; four brothers, Jim Bean of Kansas City, Chuck and Diana Bean, of Russell, Robert and Kelli Bean, of Great Bend, John Keener of Hutchinson; six sisters, Becky and Bill Luebbers, Hoisington, Amy and Lew Raybern, of Seward, Marie and Don Taylor, of Radium, Melissa Bean of Salina, Theresa Dix of Ellis, and Pam Edwards of Wichita; step brother, Randy and Donna Kirkpatrick of Russellville, Ark.; four step-sisters, Linda and Bill Preston, Candi and Troy Willinger, and Glenna Willinger, all of St. John, and Cindy and Dave Knight, of Wichita; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, and uncles. She was preceeded in death by her father Ray Bean; and two brothers Brad Bean and Jay Bean.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at the First Congregational Church in Russell followed by a graveside service at the Russell City Cemetery. Lunch will be served at the Dole Specter Conference Center, Russell after burial. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for memorials to The Katherine Bean Thacker Memorial Fund.
