Kathleen Burton, 75, of Great Bend, died Aug. 25 at Great Bend Regional Hospital, Great Bend. She was born May 5, 1935, at Toledo, Mo., the daughter of Arley and Martha (Stone) Evans. She married Jackie Burton on June 14, 1953, at Longrun, Mo. He died April 3, 2003.She was a Realtor for Burton Real Estate, Great Bend, for more than 35 years.

Mrs. Burton was a Great Bend resident since 1953, coming from Ava, Mo. She was a member of First Assembly of God and the Great Bend Board of Realtors, where she was past president, both of Great Bend. One of her favorite pastimes was playing games, especially Rook, with her family and friends.

Survivors include one son, Keith Burton and wife Heidi Jo of Great Bend; one daughter, Keela Jackson and husband Jim of Great Bend; one brother, Paul Evans and wife Flo of Theodosia, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Evans of Squires, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Jimmy Jackson and wife Sina, Grant Jackson, Heather Jackson, Valerie Morrell and husband Blake, Lucas Burton and wife Janine, J.C. Bosch and Corbin Bosch; and four great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Jackson, Arley Morrell, Makayla Burton and Lilly Burton. She was preceded in death by one son, Duane Burton, and one brother, Carl Evans. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God, Great Bend, with Pastor Dwight Dozier officiant. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Donations are suggested to memorial funds for the church or for Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
