ROUND ROCK, Texas — Kaye Sanders, 65, passed away Feb. 24, 2015 at Seton Medical Center Williamson in Round Rock. She recently began dialysis and died from an unknown illness.
Kaye grew up in Kansas and followed her mother and some of her sisters to become a Texas transplant. She was a retired librarian and worked in Rio Grande Valley for some years and lived in Brownsville after retirement. In 2012, she moved from the Valley to live with, Nellie Kaye (KC) Carpenter and Tish Marie Minium, two of her daughters. She lived with them for a year, and then moved to Temple a few months before moving in with her daughter Opal Renee Minium, where she lived until her death.
Kaye is survived by her daughters Opal Renee Minium, Tish Marie Minium and Nellie Kaye (KC) Carpenter and Max, her poodle. Also, her mother, Mary Floyd, her sisters, Olive Garrison, Rose Charvat, Jo Sanders, and Belva Sanders-Pittman, and chosen sister Kathryn Annette Doolin.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas.
