Kenneth G. Shorty Hackerott 1936 - 2015

OSBORNE — Kenneth G. “Shorty” Hackerott, formally of Pawnee Rock, died on Feb. 28, 2015, at Parkview Care Center in Osborne. Born on July 17, 1936, in Rooks County, he was the son of Otto R. Hackerott and Belle (Mitchell) Hackerott. He loved books, old cars, trucks and tractors and enjoyed the 3-I shows.
Survivors include his daughter, Gail Miller (Mark) of Tulsa, Okla.; step-daughter Shirley Bunger of Beloit; step-grandson, Jeff Bunger of Great Bend; step-granddaughter, Teri Bell (Bennett) of Beloit; brother, Otto L. Hackerott of Osborne; sister, Lillie Morrill (Leo_ Portis; many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends; friend Bob Marka of Pawnee Rock; and beloved dog, Maggie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma; his parents; brother Jimmy R. Hackerott; and nephew Brian R. Hackerott.
His body was donated to the University of Kansas Medical Center. Memorials are suggested to the Parkview Care Center in Osborne or Hospice. There will be no service at this time.
