OTIS — Kenneth P. Brack, 90, died Sept. 22 at Rush County Nursing Home, La Crosse. He was born Aug. 21, 1920, at Otis, the son of Peter E. and Amelia (Horch) Brack Foos. He married Fern Marie Schlegel on April 21, 1946, at Otis. She died Dec. 21, 1993. An Otis and Rush County resident for 70 years, coming from Ness County, he was a retired farmer.
Mr. Brack was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Otis, and Sunflower Polka Club. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include one son, Paul and wife Diana Brack of Madera, Calif.; two daughters, Nancy and husband Stan VonFeldt of Parker, Colo., and Jane and husband Gary Weiser of Great Bend; grandchildren Kellie, Brandon, Sonja, Lacey and Tiffany; great-grandchildren Rylie and Deavin; and a stepbrother, David Foos of Tracy, Calif. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roland Brack and William Brack.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Otis, with Pastor Bruce Adamson officiating. Interment will be at Otis Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Saturday, with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kenneth P. Brack Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.nicholsonrickefh.net.
