Kermit Lee Johnson, 57, died Nov. 11, 2014 at Via Christi Saint Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Born Aug. 1, 1957, in Great Bend, he was the son of Dean and Bobby (Parish) Johnson. He resided between Great Bend and Wichita, spending time in Phoenix, Ariz. He was a lover of life, adventure and travel.
Mr. Johnson was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Great Bend and Metropolitan Community Church in Wichita.
Survivors include his siblings, Connie Johnson, Lloyd Johnson and Kathy, Jill Johnson and Alethea Peschka and Joe Sr.; nephews, Joe Peschka Jr. and Dycie, Thomas Peschka and Jamie, Shawn Johnson, and Scott Johnson; nieces, Lisa Smith and Kenny and Lottie Johnson-Arnold and Michael; three great-nephews; and seven great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean Johnson and Bobby Johnson; one great-nephew; and one great-niece.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Great Bend. Members and guests are invited to a celebration of life party and pot luck dinner at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles on Main Street in Great Bend.
