Larry Lee Christiansen

Larry Lee Christiansen, 75, passed away on Feb. 25, 2023, in Reno County, Kan. He was born on Jan. 21, 1948, in Great Bend, Kan., to Reynold and Viola (Tiepermann) Christiansen. On June 19, 1965, he married Peggy Callaway in Ellinwood, Kan. She passed on Feb. 1, 2023.

A lifelong resident of Hudson, Larry spent many working years as a farmer and stockman. In addition, he owned his own bulldozer business, as well as drove the school bus for USD 350. Larry was a member of Peace Church, Great Bend Saddle Club, a 4-H project leader, St. John Tiger Booster, and held positions on the soil conservation board in Stafford County and Byron township. He enjoyed hunting, riding horses, and fishing.

Survivors include a daughter, Dawn (Jay) Brack of Hutchinson, Kan.; two sons, Curtis (Tami) Christiansen of Wichita, Kan., and George Allen “G.A” (Aimee) Christiansen of Great Bend, Kan.; five grandchildren, Jayce, Gage, Jaxon, Bradyn, and Courtney Christiansen; three step-grandchildren, Kodie McFarren, Cooper and Kadie Bailey; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Christiansen of McCook, Neb. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; grandson, Chandler Christiansen; brother, Harold Christiansen; and sister, Cherline Haase.

Visitation will take place from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023, with family receiving guests from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2023, at Peace Church in Hudson, Kan., with Pastor Tonya Andrews presiding. Interment will follow at Peace Church Cemetery. Memorials have been designated to Peace Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
