Lathelda “Dodo” White 1927 - 2021

Lathelda “DoDo” White, 93, passed away September 23, 2021, at Brookdale Senior Living, Great Bend. She was born December 10, 1927, at Hoisington, to Harry and Nettie (Jones) Lee. She married Leonard “Sno” White on June 9, 1946, at Hoisington.  He died April 23, 2005.

A lifetime Great Bend resident, DoDo was the records manager at the Barton County Courthouse until she retired. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and served at the church librarian and historian. DoDo also held memberships with the Order of Eastern Star for 50 years, Barton County Historical Society, Fort Larned Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, American Legion Auxiliary in Great Bend, RSVP and Friends of the Library, and was a past board member for the library in Great Bend. She loved genealogy, researching history and was an avid bridge player.  

Survivors include, a sister, Diann Fullerton of Yuma, Ariz.; her nephews, Todd Jones and wife Candace of Great Bend, Brent Jones and wife Cheryl of Manhattan, Lance Jones of Boulder, Colo., Dierk Haskin and wife Cheryl of Santa Fe, NM; and a niece, Rachel Cross of Salt Lake City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard White; a sister, Glynnese Jones; two brother in laws, Cecil Jones and Don Fullerton; and a niece, Mary Jones. 

Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home, with family to receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Pastor Gary Schraeder presiding. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Memorials have been designated to Kans for Kids, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
