Laura A. Bader, 52, passed away at her home in Great Bend on Oct. 21, after a lengthy illness. Born July 4, 1961, in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Paul and Marie (Binder) Molleker. She moved with her family to Hays, where she attended school and graduated from Marian High School in 1979.  On June 19, 1981, she married Michael Bader in Hays. The couple made their home in Great Bend. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, ceramics, needlepoint, and making felt Christmas stockings and ornaments.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Bader of Great Bend; one son, Frederick “Eric” Bader of Roeland Park; one daughter, Sarah and her husband, James Bader-King, of Roeland Park; two brothers, Paul Molleker, Jr. of California and Richard Molleker of Washington; two sisters, Lisa and Darlene Molleker, both of Hays; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
It was Laura’s wishes that no funeral services be held. Private interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in rural Barton County. There will be no viewing or visitation.
