GREAT BEND — Laura Belle Sandberg, 59, died March 30, 2012 at Hays Medical Center.
She was born  May 26, 1952 at Wichita, the daughter of Snow and Verla (Dighton) Houchin.
She married John E. Sandberg June 28, 1980 in Great Bend. He died Nov. 13, 2011.
She was a homemaker. Mrs. Sandberg was a Great Bend resident for 35 years coming from Kansas City, Kansas. She was a member of Living Joy Community Church in Hoisington.
Survivors include three sons, Shane Sandberg and wife Mary, Ellinwood; Brandon Sandberg and wife Lisa, Larned; John Shiloh Sandberg and wife Tasha, Olmitz; a daughter, Amanda Liston, Larned; four sisters, Marilyn Mumford, Great Bend;  Snow Coffield, Great Bend; Delsie Bittle, La Crosse; Sherri Byerley, Great Bend; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Miller.
A Memorial Service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 4 at Living Joy Community Church in Hoisington with Deacon Tonya Andrews officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. No visitation is scheduled as cremation has taken place.
Memorials are suggested to the Early Education Center at Sunflower Diversified Services, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
