Laura K. “Kathy” Coyle 1954 - 2017

LARNED — Laura K. “Kathy” Coyle, 62, died April 24, 2017 at the Hays Medical Center. She was born Sept. 25, 1954 at Ellinwood, the daughter of Alvin M. and Mildred Faye (Lanning) Sweeden. Ms. Coyle was a longtime Great Bend resident. Laura had a passion for reading and cooking, and was known to be a hard worker, always willing to lend a helping hand to whomever was in need.
Survivors include a son, Randal Coyle, Great Bend; two brothers, Alvin Sweeden and wife Donna, Walton; and Gerald Sweeden and wife Karen, Hutchinson; four sisters, Helen Senn of Blue Jay, Calif.; Faye Lamb and husband Jerry, Great Bend; Carol Fox, Great Bend, and Ruth Staley, Salina. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Brinson.
A Memorial Service is scheduled at 3 p.m. Friday at the Great Bend Senior Center with the Rev. Don Fisher officiating.
Memorials can be designated to the Laura Coyle Funeral Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
