MANHATTAN — Lazzelle Guliford, Jr., 89, of Manhattan, passed away on Wednesday, June 16th. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked for the City of Topeka in the sanitation department for many years.

Lazzelle was born in Great Bend, Kan. on December 28, 1931, the son of the late Virginia Iona (Thompson) and Lazzelle  Guliford, Sr.  A “Home Going Celebration” will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 2nd at the Pilgrim Baptist Church in Manhattan
