WICHITA — Lee Allen Schroeder, 47, passed away May 9, at his residence in Wichita. Born Dec. 19, 1966, in Larned, he was the son of Gary Burris and Mary Kay Ruth Hazel Schroeder. Lee grew up in Great Bend and had lived in Wichita for the last 4-5 years. On Oct. 26, 1988, he married Patricia Richard in Hutchinson. She survives. He loved sports, fishing and was a Chiefs, KU, Royals and a Yankees fan, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Other survivors include, three sons Justin Allen Schroeder and wife Dessarae, of Wichita, Jerrid Lee Schroeder and wife Brittany, of San Diego, Calif. and Joshua James Schroeder and wife Chelsey, of Hays; a brother, Steve Schroeder of Great Bend; five sisters, April Schroeder of Great Bend, Jackie Burris and Robin Burris, both of Topeka, and Darnelda Burris and Leeanne Burris, both of Colorado; and five grandchildren, Tristel Nicole Schroeder, Liam Allen Schroeder, Bryson Zane Schroeder, Landon Cole Schroeder and Ariah Kayy Schroeder. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ruth Hazel Brothers Schroeder.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Ryan Webster presiding. Burial will be at the Larned Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Memorials may be given to the Lee Schroeder memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
