Lenora Ellen Miller 1921 - 2016

Lenora Ellen Miller, 94, died March 8, 2016, at Cherry Village Nursing Home in Great Bend. Born Nov. 14, 1921, in Albert, she was the daughter of George William and Olga Ida (Witte) Schultz. On Sept. 26, 1945, she married Edward Conrad Miller at Peace Lutheran Church in Albert. He died on Feb. 15, 2004. A Great Bend resident since 1992, coming from Albert, she was a farm wife.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3111 Auxiliary, American Legion Argonne Post 180 Auxiliary, and Hillside EHU. She was a former member of Peace Lutheran Church in Albert.
Survivors include one son, Leland Miller and his wife Nancy of Great Bend; one daughter, Lela Jean Howerton and her husband Jack of Lyons; four grandchildren, Shawn Howerton and his wife Kathy, Mark Howerton and his wife Dana, Nathan Miller and his wife Audrey, and Sheri Espinosa and her husband Matthew; and six great-grandchildren, Benjamin Espinosa, Logan Espinosa, Donna Howerton, Emma Howerton, Chase Howerton and Tessa Howerton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Adam Wutka officiating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church or Great Bend Senior Center, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
