Lenora Marie Ochs, 97, died Feb. 25 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born July 21, 1916, in rural Otis, she was the daughter of Fred and Julia (Schlegel) Stieben. On Oct. 6, 1935 she married Clarence Everett Ochs in Otis. He died on May 7, 1994. A Great Bend resident since 1978, coming from Otis, she was a part-owner, bookkeeper and parts lady at Ochs, Inc., until retirement.
Mrs. Ochs was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, WELCA, Ruth Circle, and was a charter member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Goerlitz-Schlegel Post #9137, all of Otis.
Survivors include two daughters, Fern Royer and her husband Ron of Great Bend, and Carolyn J. Ochs of Vancouver, Wash.; six grandchildren,  Eric Royer and wife Shannon and Everett Royer and wife Stephanie, all of Otis, Kurt Royer and wife Jacque of Great Bend, Melinda Pate of Torrance, Calif., David Pate and wife Teresa of LaCenter, Wash., and Susan Ledridge and husband George of Vancouver, Wash.; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Stieben and Lester Stieben.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Savage officiating. Burial will be at the Otis Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m., on Thursday at the funeral home.
