OLMITZ — Lester A. Lindsay, 54, died May 8, 2017, at Hays Medical Center.
Born Jan. 5, 1963, in Hoisington, he was the son of Lester L. and Dolores (Brewer) Lindsay. In 1981 he graduated Hoisington High School. A lifetime Hoisington and Olmitz area resident, he was a farmer. He had a great love of nature and enjoyed fishing, hunting and helping people.
Lester was a member of the Olmitz Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife and partner in life, Lisa Crist of the home; father, Lester “Buck” Lindsay, Olmitz; sisters, Sue Lindsay, Paola; Pam Lindsay and husband Ken Bonham. Larned; and Debra Lindsay. Mesquite, Texas; nephew, Tyler Bonham; nieces, Amy Schmidt and Andrea Amador; great-nephews, Dominic and Austin Manley and Collin and Liam Schmidt; and great-nieces, Hailee and Gracie Bonham.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Lindsay.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Fisher presiding. Burial will follow in Hoisington Cemetery. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today with family to receive friends from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Lester Lindsay funeral expense fund in care of the funeral home.
