BURDETT — Lester L. Shuck, 76, passed away April 1, at the Rush County Nursing Home in LaCrosse. Born July 24, 1934 in Pawnee County, he was the son of Rex and Leona Smith Shuck. A lifetime area resident, he was a feed mill operator at the COOP in Burdett.
Mr. Shuck was a member of the Lions Club, city council and city mayor, all of Burdett.
Survivors include: a brother, Donald of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two sisters, Kay Maness of Hutchinson and Janice Rein of LaCrosse. He was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Mettling.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Burdett with the Pastor Richard Zimmerman presiding. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Brown’s Grove Cemetery in Burdett. Memorials may be sent to the United Methodist Church, Lions Club or Burdett EMS, all of Burdett.
