LARNED — Linda Kay Koehn, 60, passed away May 6, 2023 surrounded by her family at her home in Larned.
She was born April 1, 1963 in Hays, the daughter of Albert and Espie Lee Blackston Farmer.
A longtime area resident, she had a passion for caring with adults with developmental disabilities working at Parkview and Sunflower Diversified. She had a strong faith and attended many different churches. She was a Boy Scout leader, loved gardening, planting her flower beds, crafting, jet skiing, time at the lake, motorcycles, baking and making Christmas candy and fudge, camping and family time. She was a collector of many things, loved country stampede, animals and her grandbabies. Those that loved her most were known to call her Granny K or Granny Balls.
On Aug. 9, 2001 she married Steven H. Koehn at Lake Wilson; he survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Robert (Kara Speres) Tisdall, Larned, Jason Jennings, Newton; two daughters, Desiree (Natasha Carver) Clark, Ellinwood, Crystal (Jenny) VanLandingham, Omaha, Neb.; brother, Troy Farmer, Assaria; two sisters, Janice Courson, and Showna Montano, both of Hutchinson; ten grandchildren: Kaylynn, Chloe, EJ, Phenix, Ayanna, Amaya, Calum, Alex, Freya, Allana; and two great grandchildren, Braelynn and Mateo. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Hrabe; niece, Joni Marie Hollingsworth; and nephew, Bo Ray Montano.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Pastor Jarred Smith presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Beckwith Mortuary with family present from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
