BUSHTON – Linda Rose Batchman, 76, passed away January 11, 2023, at Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. She was born August 25, 1946, in Great Bend to Conrad and Rose (Kenny) Koehler. She married William “Bill” Batchman August 4, 1973, in Bushton. A lifetime Barton and Rice County resident, Linda was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in rural Bushton and the Altar Society. She enjoyed playing cards and having coffee with her friends. Above all, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include, her huband Bill of the home; two sons, Ron Batchman and wife Diane of Hoisington and Craig Batchman and wife Stacy of Sylvan Grove; four daughters, Amy Ringle and husband Rip of Rossville, Tina Willt and husband Kevin of Collinsville, Okla., Kristy Balthazor of Holiday Island, Ark. and Nicci Ingham and husband John of Basehor; three brothers, Roger Koehler of McPherson, Conrad Koehler of Great Bend and Tim Koehler of Kingman; two sisters, Karen Tatro of Hutchinson and Kathy Dark of Rogers, Ark.; 17 grandchildren, Dustin, Shane, Bekki, Rachel, Collin, Riley, Logan, Bryn, Jared, Chaz, Colt, Kolby, John, Taylor, Curtis, Kinzi and Kendal; and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ray Koehler; and a sister, Florence Walsh.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, 415 N Main, Hosington, KS 67544, with Vigil service and Altar Society Rosary held at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Bushton, Kan., with Father Joe Tatro presiding. Interment will be in the Holy Name Cemetery, Bushton, Kan. Memorials have been designated to Kansas Heart Hospital or American Cancer Society, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
