Linda S. Gleason 1955 - 2011

ST. JOHN — Linda S. Gleason, 56, died May 24 in rural Stafford County. Born March 24, 1955, in Belleville, she was the daughter of Kenneth E. and Shirley J. (Kindler) Reynolds. A resident of St. John since 1985, she was a teacher for the USD 350 St. John-Hudson school system, a 1973 graduate of Galesburg High School in Galesburg, Ill., and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics from Western Illinois University. She also worked for the Stafford County Extension Service in St. John.

On Nov. 14, 1987, she married Jim Gleason at Spearville.

Her memberships include, St. John The Apostle Catholic Church, Altar Society and Modern Homemakers.

Survivors include, her husband, of the home; a daughter, Kristin Gleason of St. John; a brother, Larry D. Reynolds and wife Mary Beth of Eudora; and her mother Shirley J. Reynolds of Abilene. She was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey T. Gleason; and her father.

Funeral Mass was held May 31 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in St. John with Fr. Floyd McKinney celebrant. Memorials may be given to USD 350 Education Foundation, Stafford County 4-H Council or the Catholic Church in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
