Lita M. Magri went to be with her most gracious Lord and Savior on August 27, 2020, in Lubbock, Texas.
Lita was born February 19, 1940, in Great Bend, Kansas, to Ray Strange and Edna Mae Strange-Gingrich (née Sherman). Both her parents and her son Angelo D. Magri, preceded her in death.
Lita is survived by her children: Anita Huntley, Victor J. Magri, Katherine E. Magri- Roden, and Kristine M. Magri. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Zach Huntley, Jessica Rose Sheahon, Ezekiel John Magri, Jack Clancy Magri and Emma Joy Magri. She is survived by her ex-husband Lawrence J. Magri. She shared great joy with her daughter-in-law, Shannon Kennedy Magri.
Lita enriched countless lives as a missionary and Drug & Alcohol Addictions counselor. Lita got her Bachelor’s degree from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, in her fifties. She then traveled extensively, for Christian mission work to the Soviet Union, China, the Philippines and Hawaii.
A memorial service will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2020, at the Hawthorne Suites in Lubbock, Texas.
In lieu of flowers and gifts the family asks for donations to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
Lita is much loved and will be treasured forever in our hearts.
