TIMKIN – Louise Marie Besperat, 79, of Timken died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney. She was born Jan. 11, 1932, in rural Bison, the daughter of Casper and Mary (Schmidt) Jacobs. She was a lifelong resident of Rush County.
Besperat was employed by St. Joseph’s Hospital In Larned for 30 Years before her retirement. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Altar Society and Holy Trinity Catholic Church Council, all of Timken.
She married William Besperat on April 16, 1951 at La Crosse.                
Survivors include: Her husband of the home; one son, Paul Besperat, and His Wife, Valerie Besperat, of Timken; three daughters, Lucille “Lucy” Besperat, Bison, Yvonne Schrader and her husband Jerry Schrader of Great Bend, and Darlene Torrez and her husband, Joseph Torrez of Albert; eight brothers, Celestine Jacobs of La Crosse, Ralph Jacobs of La Crosse, Eugene Jacobs of La Crosse, Kansas, Virgil Jacobs of Great Bend, Daniel Jacobs of Great Bend, Leroy Jacobs of La Crosse, Jerry Jacobs of Hays, and Bill Jacobs of La Crosse; three sisters, Leona Leiker of La Crosse, Elnora Holzmeister of Quinter and Mary Lou Warren of Clearwater; five grandchildren, Phillip Besperat, Teresa Satterwhite, Corey Torrez, Kelsey Torrez, Dustin Nordman; and two great-grandchildren, Jolie Satterwhite, and Waylon Satterwhite.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Casper and Mary (Schmidt) Jacobs, and Two Sisters, Albina Birney and Viola Dreher .
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Timken, with the Revs. Pascal Klein and Ultan Murphy officiating. Interment will be at Bohemian National Cemetery, Timken. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse, with the family receiving friends from 6-7 p.m. A Vigil Service and rosary will be held At 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Timken, or the Bohemian National Cemetery, Timken.
