BEAVER — Lucille M. Beck, 86, died June 1, 2016, at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood. She was born March 24, 1930, in Hoisington, the daughter of Joseph F. & Mary Elizabeth (Meyeres) Kaiser.
A lifelong Barton County resident, residing in the Hitschmann and Beaver area, until moving to Claflin and Hoisington for a short time and then most recently to Ellinwood, she was a homemaker.
Lucille was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Altar Society of Claflin. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who had a great love of gardening, canning, cooking, polka music and she especially loved spending time with her family.
On December 2, 1950, she married Arthur L. Beck in Dubuque, Kansas. He died June 9, 2005.
Survivors include: four children, Jerry Beck and wife Christa of Claflin, Bonnie Buehler and husband Jere of Claflin , Fred Beck and wife Karlynn of Claflin, and Arthur Beck and wife Leah of Cimarron; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Kaiser of Claflin, Elaine Kaiser of Colorado Springs, and Janell Kaiser of Great Bend; 14 grandchildren, Jeff Beck and wife Stacey, Teri Williams and friend Dustin, Randy Beck and wife Shayla, Brett Beck & wife Brianne, B.J. Buehler, Tim Pflughoeft and wife Brenda, Jeremy Pflughoeft, Heath Buehler and wife Jamie, Elisha Engelbrecht and husband Josh, Evin Beck and wife Kayla, Erin Beck and wife Cindy, Eric Fisher and wife Kim, Jessica Beck and Jordan Beck; and 32 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Katherine Jean Beck, her parents, husband, and five brothers, Leo, Robert, Donald, Richard, and her twin brother, Louis Kaiser; and a great grandson, Lane Pflughoeft.
Vigil with Altar Society Rosary will be 7 p.m. Friday, June 3, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 4, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Claflin, celebrated by Father Terrance Klein. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Beaver. Friends may call 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
