Lyle E. Stout 1936 - 2011

HOISINGTON — Lyle E. Stout, 75, died Nov. 15, 2011 in Hoisington.
He was born April 26, 1936 in Laird, the son of Harold Lee and Myrtle (Farris) Stout. He was a 1954 graduate of Hoisington High School. A life-long Hoisington resident, he was a self-employed laborer.
Mr. Stout was a hard worker and loyal friend who enjoyed horseback riding, camping, boating and fishing, gardening, yard work and helping others. He was a Jeff Gordon fan and enjoyed discussing NASCAR with his son Wayne. He loved and cared for animals.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Stout and wife Susan, Hoisington; and Dennis Stout, Wichita; three daughters, Jaye Lynn Keil, Russell; JoAnn Martin, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Sarah Stout, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Dean Stout, Hoisington; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Francis Stout; two sons, John Stout and Roy Stout; and a grandson, Zachary Stout.
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. Burial will be at the Hoisington Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday.
