CLAFLIN — Lyle Kent McDermed, 78, was born Jan. 17, 1936, in Lyons, to Carvin and Wilma (Kent) McDermed. Lyle passed away April 6, 2014. Lyle spent his childhood in Kansas where he was a graduate of Claflin High School and Emporia State University.Lyle’s love for his Lord was never ending and he remained a faithful and active member of the Lutheran church until his death.
