STAFFORD — M. Sharon Chansler, 84, went to be with the Lord July 11, 2015, at Leisure Homestead in St. John. Born Dec. 13, 1930, at Eureka, she was the daughter of Emmett and Masil McDaniel Hall. A 1948 graduate of Langdon High School, she also attended Adalahale Business College in Hutchinson. On Dec. 24, 1950, she married Paul W. Chansler while Paul was on leave while serving with the United States Army. They were married for over 64 years. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, she was a homemaker and business partner with her husband in Paul’s Grocery of Stafford. In 1998 they retired and moved back to Hutchinson.
Survivors include her husband Paul; five sons, Bill Chansler and companion Pat Becker of McKinney, Texas, Mike (Marilyn) Chansler of Great Bend, John (Linda) Chansler of Hutchinson, Jim (Shari) Chansler and Jeff Chansler, both of Stafford; a daughter, Julie (David) Rewerts of Stafford; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Norman (June) Hall and Rick (Joyce) Hall; two sisters, Margaret (Carl) Hall and Bobbi Dunsworth; and sister-in-law, Barbara Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant grandson Jeremiah Chansler; daughter-in-law Lois Chansler; and a brother, Calvin Hall.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. today at Minnis Chapel in Stafford. Burial will be at Peace Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the Zion Lutheran Church Youth Group sent in care of the funeral home.
