Magdalene T. Brack 1924 - 2012

OTIS — Magdalene T. Brack, 88, died Dec. 19 at Hays Medical Center. Born June 27, 1924, in rural Barton County, she was the daughter of Adolph and Minnie (Mater) Tuzicka. In 1942 she graduated from Otis High School. On Sept. 12, 1945, she married Eudale Brack at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Otis. A lifelong resident of Otis, she was the owner and operator of the Otis Cafe from 1968 to 1997. She enjoyed crocheting and flowers and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brack was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and WELCA.
Survivors include her husband, Eudale Brack, of the home; one son, Roger Brack and wife Sharon, of Otis; one daughter, Darla Hanks and husband Terry, of Otis; three granddaughters, LaChelle Fitzmorris and husband Ryan and Shawna Hanks, both of Hays, and Shannon Wilburn and husband Lee, of Great Bend; and two great-grandsons, Declan and Kellan Fitzmorris of Hays. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Irene Brack; and great-grandson, Pierce Fitzmorris.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Otis with the Rev. Bruce Adamson officiating. Burial will be at the Otis Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington. Memorials are suggested to the Magdalene Brack Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
