SOUTH HUTCHINSON — Margie Zink, 78, died Nov. 11, 2018. She was born Aug. 26, 1940, in Sylvia, to William and Nevil Gladys (Heggy) Marshall.
Margie graduated from Sylvia High School in 1958 and beauty school. She worked as a beautician for a short period of time before working at Lyons Grade School as a paraprofessional and at TECH as an aide.
Margie was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, St. Teresa Altar Society, and was in charge of the prayer line at the church for 15 years.
On Sept. 14, 1976, she married Christopher ‘Chris’ Zink in Lyons.
Margie is survived by, her husband of 42 years, Chris; daughters, Christi Hutchinson-Anderson (Sean), all of South Hutchinson, Sonya Huey-Ramkeesoon (John), Queens, New York; sister, Darlene McCluskey, Prairie Village; and three step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Mary Lee Herman.
Parish Rosary will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th, Hutchinson, with Father Michael J. Maybrier officiating. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church Cemetery, Bushton with Father Rick Kotrba officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday with the family present Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marjorie Zink Memorial Fund, St. Teresa Catholic Church, or Birthright, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
