LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Marcia Louise Petersen, born May 9, 1957, died on July 10, 2013 at her Las Vegas, Nev. home due to her long term battle of seizures.
She was born in Great Bend to Dolores Lapka and the late Joe Lapka Sr.
Her natural creative edge followed her well into her careers, as an interior designer and in her final years when she started her own baking company. This is where she amazed people with how much talent she had, with the presentation and the amazing taste of her treats. She worked and taught all the way until her dying day, teaching all of us just how strong she truly was. A single mother of three children, never giving up, trying to fulfill her dreams and to take care of family, despite all the set backs she had overcome.
A memorial service for Marcia will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Shadow Hills Church, 7811 Vegas Dr., Las Vegas, Nev.
