MCPHERSON — Mrs. Margaret Ann Reese, 71, of McPherson, passed away at 6:50 p.m. Oct. 4, while in the company of family members at Memorial Hospital, McPherson. She was a homemaker and through the years she worked for Farmers Alliance Insurance Company as a clerk, Alliance Insurance Company as a secretary and for McPherson College, all of McPherson.
Mrs. Reese was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in McPherson, where she was a member of the Altar Society and served her church in several capacities.
Survivors include her husband, Harold D. Reese of McPherson; her children, Laura A. Vogts and her husband Kelly, and Mark Reese and his wife Nellie, all of McPherson; two sisters, Pat Klusener and her husband Larry of Great Bend, and Mary Lamont of Sparks, Nev.; seven grandchildren, Adam Vogts and his wife Heather, Landon Vogts, Abby Vogts, Anna Vogts, Jared Reese, Jacob Reese and Josh Reese; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Edward Petron.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in McPherson at 10 a.m. on Thursday, with Father David Lies officiating. Final resting place will be at the McPherson Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 4-7 p.m. today, with the family present from 5-7, and the rosary to be at 7:15 p.m., all at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in McPherson. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph’s Catholic School in care of Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, McPherson.
