Margaret G. Reichuber 1921 - 2018

ODIN — Margaret G. Reichuber, 96, died Monday, August 6, 2018, at Brookdale of Hutchinson, Kansas.
She was born November 13, 1921, in Barton County, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph Francis and Mathilda (Beran) Birzer.
A homemaker and a farmwife, Margaret was a lifelong area resident. She attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Barton County. On August 12, 1941, she married Edwin H. Reichuber at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in rural Ellinwood, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 28, 1978. Margaret was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Altar Society, both in Odin. Margaret worked for 29 years for Central Kansas Medical Center in housekeeping. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening and needle work.
Survivors include; four sons, Edwin E. Reichuber and wife Aileen, Hutchinson; Kenneth Reichuber, Burrton; Richard Reichuber and wife Mary Jane, Hoisington; Gary Reichuber and wife Janie, Wichita; sister-in-law, Leona Birzer; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers; 12 sisters; and a grandson Nicholas Reichuber.
Friends may call noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Vigil and Rosary led by the Altar Society will be at 7 p.m., Thursday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Odin, Kansas, with Father Terrence Klein presiding. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
