COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. — Margaret M. Cooper, 89, of Colorado Springs, Colo., passed away May 3, at Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care after a brief stay. She was born Jan. 14, 1922, in Great Bend, to Edgar F. and Bridget May (McGinty) Leeper and was a graduate of Radium High School in Radium. She married Glenn E. Cooper of St. John, on July 15, 1942. She was a retired credit manager for Diamond Lumber Company and a loving homemaker. She loved her family and many friends and enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies and the Denver Nuggets.

Margaret was a member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church and their Golden Agers. She is a life member of the Daughters of Isabella at St. Rose Catholic Church in Great Bend.

Survivors include one son, Gary E. Cooper of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Reta M. Juiliano of Shawnee, and Glennis A. Willy of Colorado Springs, Colo.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in November of 2000; and daughter, Leta M. Lacy, in 1998.

Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. today at The Springs Funeral Services in Colorado Springs, Colo. A Memorial Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday, at Holy Apostles Catholic Church with the Reverend Paul Wicker officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care, in care of the funeral home.
