Margaret “Peggy” Lee Matthews, 84, died July 21 and Hoeger House, Olathe. She was born Aug. 5, 1927, at Hoisington, the daughter of Alvin Leroy and Jeanie  (Francis) Holter. Peggy married Jack Matthews July 5, 1952, at Great Bend. He survives, of the home.  
 Mrs. Matthews, a homemaker, was a longtime Great Bend, Kansas resident, coming from Salina and Belpre.
 Other survivors include two daughters, Shelley Rae Constant, and husband Mike, of Raymore, Mo., and Vicki Lee Bear, and husband Bill, of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Wade Son, and wife Amanda, of Radium,  Jenny Tiday, and husband, Aaron of Larned, and Ryan Bear, and wife Gillian, of Benbrook, Texas; and great-grandchildren Sierra, Isaiah, Ethan, Hannah, Maddox, Leah and Mason.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, at Bryant Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m., Monday, with family receiving friends from 7-8, all at the funeral home. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Donations to a memorial fund for the  American Cancer Society may be made in care the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
