ODIN — Margie Lynn Wondra, 64, died Dec. 22 at Evergreen Community of Johnson County in Olathe. Born Jan. 30, 1947 in Ellsworth, she was the daughter of Laborious (Bob) and Amelia (Kraft) Miller. A long-time resident of Barton County, she graduated from Dorrance High School and attended the Dominican School of Nursing in Great Bend. On Aug. 21, 1971 she married Ambrose Wondra in Great Bend. She was employed at Central Kansas Medical Center for many years as a CNA. In 2004, Margie moved to Kansas City to be closer to her children. She enjoyed cooking, animals and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Wondra was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and the Holy Family Altar Society both in Odin.

Survivors include her husband, Ambrose Wondra; one son, Mike Wondra and wife Angela of Overland Park; two daughters, Mellisa Miller and husband Justin of Hutchinson, and Mindy Burkhalter and husband Paul of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Larry Miller of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Bob Miller of Norman, Okla.; one sister Val Heinze and husband Dale of Parkville, Mo.; five grandchildren, Morgan and Brooke Miller, Andy, Aubrie and Allie Burkhalter. She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant sister Betty Ann Miller.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Odin with Father Charles Mazouch as celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, with a vigil service and Altar Society rosary starting at 6 p.m., at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Holy Family Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
