Maria C. Arias, 73, passed away September 17, 2021, at the University of Kansas Health System - Great Bend Campus. She was born on December 15, 1947, at Francisco I. Madero, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Pedro Ibarra and Maria Chayres.  

A Great Bend resident since 1992, Maria was a homemaker. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She especially loved spending time with her family.  

Survivors include, her husband, Rafael Arias of the home; her sons, Martin, Gerardo and Francisco; her daughters, Maribel, Araceli, Rafaela, Luz Maria and Adriana; and many brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend, with Father Aneesh Parappanattu presiding. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery North. Memorials have been designated to Prince of Peace Parish, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
