Marilou Axman 1930 - 2015

OLMITZ — Marilou Axman, 84, died Jan. 20, 2015 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Nov. 1, 1930, in Odin, she was the daughter of William and Eleanor (Hickel) Linsner. On April 20, 1949, she married Frank W. Axman in Odin. He died on May 17, 1994. A resident of Olmitz since 1949, coming from Odin, she was a retired nurses’ aide, working for the Hoisington Hospital.
Mrs. Axman was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and Altar Society, in Olmitz.
Survivors include one son, Kenny Axman and wife Paula of Olmitz; one daughter, Katherine Waldroupe and husband Jim of Hoisington; two sisters, Eleanor Witchey and Gerri West, both of Great Bend; five grandchildren, Brian Axman, Kerri Weber, Nicole Hunter, Travis Kultgen, Patricia Kennett; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, James Axman; and a brother, William Linsner.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Olmitz with Father Anselm Eke officiating. Burial will be at the St. Ann Cemetery in Olmitz. Vigil and rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Ann Catholic Church in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.nicholsonrickefh.net.
