HOISINGTON — Marilyn Jean ‘Jeanie’ Donovan, 84, died Jan. 30, 2026, peacefully at her home in Hoisington, Kan. She was born Jan. 9, 1942, in Hoisington, Kan., the daughter of Harry ‘H.O.’ and Esther L. (Howell) Martin. She graduated from Hoisington High School in 1960 and was a lifetime resident. Of all her accomplishments her favorite was her family, and greatest joy was watching her children and grandchildren grow.
On Oct. 29, 1960, she married LeRoy I. Donovan in Phillipsburg, Kan. He survives along with their two children, son, Shannon Donovan and wife Sherri, and daughter, Shawna Beran, all of Hoisington; five grandchildren, Lexen Beran of Overland Park, Brannon Donovan and fiancé Elizabeth Kutina of Wichita, Xavier Beran and wife Melissa of Russell, Brenner Donovan of Manhattan, and Braxton Donovan of Salina; three brothers, Mike Martin and wife Nancy of Pratt, Doug Martin and wife Janice of Larned, and Gary Martin of Great Bend; and two sisters, Debbie Lebbin of Manhattan and Cindy Martin of Great Bend; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Kevin Martin; two sisters, Rebecca Booth and Martha Lee Knight; and a nephew, Jason Martin.
