Marilyn May Phemister 1933 - 2012

LARNED — Marilyn May Phemister, 78, died Jan. 19 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Born May 23, 1933 in Aledo, Ill., she was the daughter of Paul E. and Margaret Litzenberger Black. A longtime resident of Larned, she was a retired elementary school teacher. On Feb. 18, 1974, she married Charles L. Phemister in California. He survives.

Other survivors include one brother, Ronald Black of Snohomish, Wash.; and three nephews. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Morell Funeral Home in Larned. Burial was at the Mennonite Cemetery in Hanston. Memorial donations may be sent to Muscular Dystrophy Association in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 124, Larned, KS 67550-0124.
